COMMUNITY RECOVERY EDUCATION • 8 WEEKS • ACTION-PLANNING MODEL
For Participants

You do not have to have your whole life figured out before you ask for support.

EMERGE 8 is built for adults who recognize that alcohol has become part of how they handle emotion, isolation, conflict, or pain—and want a structured way to respond differently.

What to expect

Direct conversation. Practical work. No performance.

The program is not built around lectures or comparing “war stories.” Sessions focus on recognizing patterns, learning usable tools, building support, and practicing what to do before a high-risk moment gets away from you.

  • Weekly 90-minute group sessions
  • Structured workbook exercises
  • Peer accountability and support mapping
  • Emotional trigger and environment mapping
  • Relationship repair and conflict scripts
  • Relapse-prevention decision planning
  • Personal 30/60/90-day recovery action plan

Who may benefit

Emotion-driven drinking

Alcohol use tends to increase when you feel angry, ashamed, lonely, rejected, stressed, or overwhelmed.

Isolation + escalation

You notice a pattern of withdrawing, sitting with a story in your head, drinking, and then making the situation worse.

Ready for structure

You may not know the full recovery path yet, but you are willing to name the pattern, practice alternatives, and build support.

Important safety boundary

This program is not detox or medical care.

EMERGE 8 is a recovery education and support program. If your needs require medical, psychiatric, diagnostic, detoxification, or licensed treatment services, the program should help connect you to an appropriate provider rather than trying to operate outside its scope.

Privacy + respect

Group confidentiality is a core norm, but absolute confidentiality cannot be promised where safety or legally required reporting applies. Participants should receive clear expectations before enrollment.

Cost philosophy

EMERGE 8 is designed so grants, sponsors, and partner institutions can carry most program costs. A small commitment fee may be used where appropriate, with hardship waivers or sponsorship so cost does not become the barrier.
